Q: Where should we go for a portrait session?
A: That’s really up to you, but there’s so many great spots for a portraits session in the local area. We’re also happy to come to you at your home or other location.


Q: How much does your portrait sessions cost?
A: Our portrait sessions start at $200.00. Please contact us via email to receive more information on our rates, promotions, and availability.


Q: What should we wear?
A: Again, that’s up to you.  If you’d like to be in the same colors, that’s great.  If you’d like to be coordinated, but not quite in the same out fit, that’s works too.  If you want everyone to wear what they are comfortable in, excellent.  We do say when asked that loud print shirts can be distracting, but if that’s what you want to do, go for it.  The most important thing to us is that you are relaxed and comfortable in what you are wearing.

Q: On location portrait session, what happens if bad weather occur that day?
A: Unfortunately, since we have no control over the weather, we will reschedule your session.


Q: Do you have a studio? Where should we take our pictures?
A: I do not have a studio, but can arrange one if needed from our partnership studios. I like to think of nature as my limitless backdrop. I love trying new locations, but I also have my favorites. I am available to help you decide the perfect place for your shoot. Please remember there is a travel fee for locations outside of Chattanooga city limits.


Q: How long will the session take?
A: You can expect to be on location with me for 1-2 hours depending on the type of session you choose, unless of course you have booked a wedding!


Q: What if I need to reschedule?
A: No problem. I know that life can get crazy and that unplanned things happen. Please contact me at least 48 hours in advance in the event that you need to reschedule.

Q: What type of photography do you do?
A: Gholston Photography specializes in wedding, engagements, maternity, events, portraits and school portraiture. 


Q: Do I need to sign a contract?
A: Yes, I do request that all of our special events and wedding clients sign a contract with Gholston Photography.


Q: Do I need to pay a retainer fee?
A: Yes please, in order to secure your session date I do require a non refundable & non exchangeable retainer fee at the time of booking. 


Q: Do you travel, for weddings or events? How far do you travel? What is your travel cost?
A: Yes. We love traveling. We are available to travel anywhere in the United States. Our travel rates vary based on the destination. 


Q: Can I bring my friend along?
A: Sure! Especially if you are on a senior portrait session. I encourage doing anything that helps to make you feel more comfortable and relaxed during our session. Please note that we ask that no one take photos while we are working. It is perfectly fine if your friend or relative who comes along takes photos once our session has ended. 


Q: What types of payments do you accept?
A: Currently I accept cash, Cash App, Venmo, checks and or credit/debit card payment.
